Frequently Asked Questions
What qualifications do I need to apply?
Applicants should be enrolled in a relevant degree program, such as psychology or social work, and have a keen interest in clinical mental health. We accept both foundational and advanced year students. We also provide IT, Marketing, Policy, and Administrative internships, please apply in the form above.
How does online supervision work?
Supervision is conducted twice a week via video calls, allowing for interactive discussions and personalized feedback from experienced professionals. Interns engage in several supervision sessions per week, including didactic, small group and cohort group supervision sessions.
What is the time commitment for the internship?
The program requires a commitment of approximately 25 hours per week, including direct client work, in-direct client work and supervision. The hourly commitment depends on the institution that you are with.
How long is the internship program?
Our internships accomodate your academic calendar. We work with you and your school to ensure you start and end at the appropriate times, as well as complete the required internship hours. Start and end dates are flexible based on your schedule.
Can I work with real clients during the internship?
Yes, interns will have the opportunity to work directly with clients under supervision, gaining valuable hands-on experience.

Absolutely. The program is designed to foster both personal growth and professional skills, preparing you for a career in mental health.
Is this a paid internship?
Our internships are unpaid. Our business model surrounds providing students with a superior learning environment and supervision, as well as providing low-cost services to clients experiencing barriers to care.
What do I need to apply?
A completed application form is all you need to apply. You will be asked to provide references, vulnerable sector and criminal record checks, and complete training once you have been approved.
Do you work with my school?
We work with many schools in Canada and the USA. Check on your list of approved internships with your school and if we are not on their list, we will work with your field officer to be an approved provider.
